Bhikshu Ngawang Khyentse and Upasaka Kunga Tashi have translated from the Tibetan into English, the Long Life Prayer of His Eminence Gongkar Dorje Dhenpa Rinpoche. This beautiful, devotional prayer was written by the late Venerable Jamphel Chogden,  on 17th of August 1991. It is presented in Issue 2 of The Newsletter of Lhokha Gongkar Choede Dorje Dhen.

                           Monlam 2009

His Holiness Sakya Trizin's 50th Golden Jubilee

His Eminence Gongkar Dorje Dhenpa and the Sangha of Gongkar Choede Monastery hosted the Sakya Monlam for the third time. His Holiness the Sakya Trizin praised the Dzongpa for organizing everything "...so very well and without any problems." 

The Monlam was held in Lumbini, Nepal, the birthplace of the Buddha.  This year approximately 5000 monks, nuns, and lay people from around the world attended the 10 day Great Prayer Festival.
