His Eminence Gongkar Dorjee Dhenpa Rinpoche, has a vision and a dream to establish a monastery that will be the center of Tantric practice for his senior qualified monks where the rituals that the Dzongpa monks have carried out since the time of the Great Fifth Dalai Lama are performed; particularly Kalachakra, White Tara and the Bramanrupa Mahakala. In Tibet, these rituals were carried out for hundreds of years without interruption. The practices were so beneficial that the donations given supported over a thousand monks. They are dedicated to the long life of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, His Holiness the Sakya Trizin, and all our great Lineage holders, as well as for the benefit of all sentient beings.
The new Temple will also house the revival of the printing of scared texts and establish a school for Tibetan language and literature.

Humble Beginnings
A parcel of land has been donated by the Tibetan community of Lankenwala, 7 km. from Rinpoche's monastery near Dehradun. an adjacent parcel has been acquired to insure enough property for the entire project. The main gate and a large statue of Nagarjuna grace the entrance and a small two story building for monks quarters has been built.
Now, with the kind help of sponsors such as yourself, the main Temple building can begin. The merit of giving not only benefits us in this life, but the building of Gongkar Tsedrub Lhakhang will help insure the continuation of the Dzongpa lineage through the training of its monks and preservation of the Buddha's vast teachings and the well being of its community.
